This topic comes up occasionally and the guys here are pretty resourceful. I saved this link for future use, maybe it will help you. Seems new things are always coming out so maybe some of the guys will have some new ideas.

I used the rolled bubble wrap type insulation. One roll will do the whole cab for about 25 bucks. I used it on my firewall, floor, kick panel area, around the back of the cab and on the ceiling. There may be better and more expensive stuff around but for the cost I'm happy with it.

Thank you Code3, that's the link I was looking for, plenty of good info in that one.

Vern, anyone does the bubble wrap have a sticky side or do you need some sort of adhesive for the vertical surfaces?

The kind I used had no sticky side although I think I've seen some that does. I used 3-M Weatherstrip adhesive and it's holding up very well...even the ceiling.

As I posted in the above thread, Frost King at Home Depot or Lowes is sold as an insulation wrap for water heaters. I picked this idea up from the Corvette Forum. Many Vette owners have used this to mask the sound from hi po exhaust systems. It is a foil sandwich with fiberglass in the middle.

We are currently doing our 60. I will post some pictures soon. Here is a website that explains the differences. We chose the RAAMAT. It is about half the others and it seems to be a better product.

Just like hiwy50 I'm getting close to start the sound deading of some sort. I also have a panel trk. and thats alot of area to cover. Ive wonderd about the spray type but then you need a special gun to spray it. $$

I used on my panel this big roll of about 1/4 inch thick insulation material with foil on both sides; got at a building supply store. Glued it in with 3M general spray adhesive. Also bought a few cans of that expanding foam, and sprayed it around all "beam" areas, like the ceiling and side ribs.

By glueing this stuff onto the insides of the panels ceiling and sides, it elimiated the hollow "oil drum" noises.

Also did the floors, inside firewall and inside doors, of course.

I've also used this in 3 or 4 other vehicles and seemed to work good and not very expensive. Even Wal Mart carries the 3M adhesive now, which knocks about $2 a can off the auto supplier price. If you're not sure, buy a few extra cans of this stuff, for it gets addictive as to where you want to use it. The 3M brand worked much better than the other brands I saw available.

For what it's worth,

Paul

PS: I have read that, in possible wet areas, you should use "closed cell" foam. I have never been able to locate this product, but I made sure that I used the common expanding foam only in "dry" areas, and not in the doors, for example.
