I've noticed some noise in the front end and it sounds like it coming from my suspension. When going over speed bumps or even mildly rough roads, there's a light sqeek and clunking noise. When traveling down a paved road, the front end feels a little soft and spongy like. Also, sometimes when I get in the truck and before I start it up, I hear what sounds like something pops, almost like something in the suspension pops back into place (or out of place).
Anyone have something like that happen before? Any ideas what this might be? My truck is an '02 F-350 Super Duty Crew Cab Short Bed Diesel.
I'm a new Super Duty owner and so I'm not familiar with everything on this truck as I've only had it about a month now.
check your sway bar bushings and your radius arm bushings if it has coil springs in the front. Check all axle bushings..any bushings that might hold the axle in place.
I drove around today on my lunch break and I didn't notice the noise. Could temperature play a factor here? Last night when it happened, it was colder than usual.
