The previous owner of my '53 swapped in a 302 and a C4. They did not remove the old clutch lever/assembly. I am trying to figure out how to remove it, but can't seem to figure it out. The clutch lever exits the floorboard and connects to a shaft on the outer part of the frame, this shaft then goes through the frame, then the brake lever connects, then there is the clutch linkage bracket. I want to remove the clutch lever and the bracket, but how? Thanks in advance for all the help...this board has been great!
Skakerteam,
Thee is a bolt on the outside of the frame that holds the shaft in, take this bolt out and the shaft can be driven out through the inside of the frame. I cut my clutch pedal about two inches from the shaft and used it to twist and pull the shaft out.

One other option if you've got brake pedal to steering column clearance problems.I have a booster/master mounted to the frame and a column out of a 78 LTD II.I have a pretty big hoof so I took out the brake pedal and adapted the clutch pedal and shaft to run the brakes.
