I was able to get 2 amps under the rear bench in a CC along with 2 crossovers. All you have to do is, if you have one (I did) remove the storage rack, then what I did is just made a steel plate and bolted it down with the screws that i took out of the storage rack. Choose steel for one it wont bend, and also you get alot more height then wood. You can see pictures here. http://entertainment.webshots.com/album/552818747oNKkol
brbsta, all I can say is wow !!!. That is a great set up. My install was a one day thing away from home, and I was pleased with the outcome. Thats a really nice job on the rear seat. How do you like the JL amps ? Is your IPOD wire running out from the glove box ? It looks like it. Thats where mine is also. Put the IPOD in the glove box and leave it alone. The tweets look good also. They installed mine on covers that snap into place over the pillar. And the most important of all is it sounds great and I really enjoy it. Great set up you have....dg

Yea, it took me about 3 days to make it all right. The amps are pretty awesome, the 1000/1 is took much for the sub, already blew it up once, but im gonna get another sub jsut to take some power away. With the pioneer I have the IPOD controller that is mounted under the carpet on the passenger side (up above where your feet go) then from there the ipod wire runs through the dash to the drivers side glovebox. The ipod stay in there all the time and is controlled by the radio. My tweets actually need a little work but they will do hwo they are now. Thanks again.
CyberJay, yes the entire unit is as it was on top of the stock consul. Everything is functional. I was a little reluctant on the sub box, as my prior truck '04 super crew 150, the sub box split between the rear seats and sounded great. It was a forward driving vented sub box and sounded great. The new down driving box seems to sound better as the sound is coming from the center of the interior of the truck and not just forward from the rear. It took a little tweaking with the gains and forward and rear adjustment, but once it was dialed in, I was impressed. It shakes pretty good. I think with the SC you might be a little restricted. Some of those audio shops can do some amazing things though....dg
LonewolfTX, that looks like a great setup, nice and tidy. I would imagine it would sound great also with the sub based in the middle of the rear seat. Great job...cheers....dg
Well I must say everyone here has their own indivualistic touch. All the setups are AWESOME! Now, I have a question for all you audio guys out there: I am in the process of getting a Pioneer NVIC-N3 head unit from my friend with the sirus radio and iPod interface. I am wondering which speakers do you reccomend for the doors (02 SuperCab), and what is a good thin sub-woofer? I haven't decided where I am going to putt all this but your setups are good suggestions. Next which amp is a good selection for this combo? I would really only like one amp if possible, as i am not worried about blowing the clothes off my passengers. Thanks for the help and I can't wait to hear from you guys.
They look great tucked in the pillar like that. Can't even tell, nicely integrated !! Sub box is custom made from the instaler and it houses 2 JL AUDIO 10" W6 SUBS. They need about 7" clearance to move properly. Behind the rear seat wasn't an option...dg
