Stole this one from a guy who clearly didn't know what he was sitting on. 76 F250 4wd factory highboy with divorced NP205 transfer case...352 4 spd. All for $400.00. How about that?!?
Sounds like a bad a deal! for only 400 bucks thats a steal. Dang... i cant get over that, you surely got yourself a bad a truck...regardless on its shape that is truley a steal!!
Sounds like a good deal to me. My newest truck truck came my way on saturday... '89 Dodge, Cummins, NV4500 transmission, 205 transfer D60 front and back. I know, Dodge is a bad word here, but that Cummins and nv4500 are sure going to be sweet in my '79 super cab.
One of my buddies just totalled his 94 powerstroke and put the motor in his 77 3/4 ton. I think that is my next mod. I not too big on diesel though. Never have got into it. I work at home so I don't worry too much about fuel mileage. Plus, I've driven early model cummins trucks, powerstrokes and IDIs. I wasn't overly impressed with any of them (all stock) other than the fuel mileage. My buddy's 77 went from 6 mpg(had a suped up 390) to 22. That is a perty big swing i suppose. My hauler pulls in the 9 mpg range loaded(not horrible for a 460). That makes for an expensive trip to NC every summer (for extra clean derby cars )but i don't have to do that all the time.
I will get some pics as soon as i can remember to have my sister come to my house with her camera....it's 2006 now maybe i oughtta get a digital camera, eh? She ain't terribly perty but like i said, can beat the deal IMO. i told them i didn't care if it ran i was buying and would drag it home if i had too (bigger tires won't fit on my trailer )
great deal!! I picked up a 79 f250 300/4spd/205 with 3.55 gears for 200 this spring the the tires alone were worth twice that the body is toast but I have another body in good shape to drop on it. The thing had a set of 12.50x33x16.5s with maybe 5000 miles on them, just right for my 75 highboy's aluminum slotted wheels the new addition to the fleet should be road ready by spring ...........
