Never heard of it called that down this way. Guess you can learn something every day . . .
Powerservice makes several products for diesel fuel. Dieselkleen is just one of them. The most propular is the grey bottle (dieselkleen) and the white bottle which is the dieselfuel supplement and anti-gel.
First off...Why in the world would you take a statement said in jest over 16 months ago and make such an issue of it now? "If we can find someone that can figure all this out we will likely find that there is a pretty good balance between cleaning solvent and lubricity properties, in all the major brands...I mean look at WD-40...cleans and lubes. ......
I do not get your point.
See how easy it is to get the wrong idea of what someone's point is, or their meaning? Everyone needs to keep that in mind before going off the deep end, so to speak. This is a written medium. Its impossible, or near impossible to convey meaning the same as with speach, therefore sometimes taking things the wrong way. I was just pointing out a popular misconception, same as with the sulphur issue.
I am pretty sure that Ford's additive is made by Gold Eagle brands.
A picture says a thousand words. Now if I can just figure a way to add some.

WD-40 was originally made in 1953 and is still being made today by the same formula. 45-50% Stoddard Solvent, 30-35% Petroleum Base Oil and 12-18% of LVP Hydrocarbon Fluid (Exxsol D95).
Ok guys, I'm getting ready to pick up my new 07 f-350 with the powerstoke tomorrow. It has less than 200 miles on it right now. Should I start using Diesel Kleen or Stanadyne right away, or is it like synthetic oil and I should wait a few thousand miles before I start using it? This is going to be my first diesel so I appreciate all of your help.
Use fuel additive right away. Higher cetane ratings and added lubricity help engines with all types of mileage on them. This is not like comparing what oil to run in a new engine.
That's pretty much what I was thinking blackhat but thanks. I almost bougt a big bottle of diesel kleen at walmart when I was there tonight but decided to wait and ask on here first just in case.
I'm also seriously looking at buying the coolant filter setup now also, but haven't decided for sure yet. I've got enough things I want to do to my truck already, but it seems like every time I come on here I find something else I want
Coolant filter is a good mod to do. IMHO the first two modifications that should be done to these trucks is 1) Gauges (EGT, Boost, Trans) and 2) Coolant filter.
I've been thinking about guages too, but I haven;t decided for sure. The 07's have a nice handle on the a-pillar where I would have liked to put the guages but I don't want to lose that handle. Does anyone make a gauge cluster to go anywhere else that looks that nice? Also, I won't be towing or hauling much or very often so I'm not sure if I really would need them, do I?
I don't know if you've seen my posts in the super duty section but I just bought a 2007 f-350 lariat crew cab long bed powerstroke 4x4. It's at the dealer right now getting a 4.5" Donahoe Racing lift, 35x12.5r20 Toyo Open Country M/Ts, 4" MBRP turbo back exhuast, and a Suncoast Creations Ram Air hood with air raid intake. I'll be picking it up from the dealer this week and am really looking forward to it. I appreciate everyones input on what they think I should do to it, but I think money is going to be a little tight for the next month or so after these purchases and christmas.
They make a gauge pod that mounts to the ceiling of your truck above the Rear View mirror and in front of the console. It is available in 2,3 & 4 gauge units.
