Well, since I installed the intercooler I figured I would protect it from the Texas bug missles on the highway. Thought yall might like to see it. I got the idea from a friend, and he calls it the Ghetto grill. I just used rain gutter guard galvinized wire mesh. I think it came out pretty good. Enjoy.
That looks really good! It should really help out with bugs. I have seen a couple people use a screen door type material and it looks like crap. I feel bad for my truck, I need a week off to give it some one on one
Don't know if you remember that you gave me come counsel back in the day when I was looking at buying a 96 PS, but sure was grateful for your input and willingness to answer my million questions.
Dan, of course I remember. It's not everyday that someone ask questions about a stroke they are buying in the rainforests of South America. South America right? Anyway, you are one in a million man, I'll never forget you. I hope your getting lots of use out of it and enjoying it, I was just glad I could help.
Looks good, would look great on my silver and black truck. How about some more info on what you used to hold it in place. Is there anything you would do different if you had to do it again?
Dirty, I went to home depot, got three pieces of galvinized rain gutter wire mesh. The pieces are like 6"x 3'. I layed them behinde the grill and used a cut off wheel to cut them to fit. Then I just drilled holes and used zip ties to hold the mesh in place. Some people glue it, I didn't want to. Hope that helps.
That grill looks sweet. There will be one on my rig on Saturday. Did you have to pull off the grill to attach the wire or did you just stuff it down behind?
