I use the lowest HP setting (40HP) for the big trailer and the 60HP for towing my racecar and just quads on a flatbed trailer. If you tow bigger loads in the higher HP setting for towing you would risk burning up the transmission. I have 210,000 miles on mine. Yes, if you towed in the 80HP economy setting it would more than likely burn up the tranny. There is a great amount of torque in that setting.

Very interesting.
This is opposite of what I would have thought.
Good to know now before torching a trans.
I think this is what Im gonna do.
Except maybe a 20 and 40hp possibly Illl see what beans says.
Ive been running with I think from my testing 2 bad injerctors.
And I think Ive got a bad IDM.
So maybe add that too if it doesnt jump the hp too much.

What started all this for me was I had two injectors that were rebuilt before I bought the truck then had one go dead on Laborday weekend. I took it in to have the injectors tested and found two were good, one was dead, and five were mediocre. I think originally when I bought the truck it probably had six marginal injectors and two good ones. Then one died so it started running really rough. So, after checking into various options I decided to go with Beans and am very happy with the outcome. They will make everything right with your truck. I won't buy anything from anyone else but Bean from now on. That is what a great bunch of guys they are to deal with. Just my $.02

Ordered mine today.
I got the tranny savers but Chris was almost rying to talk me into the stage 1's
Probably a little to much power for me.
I need to send cores first to get them faster beans is low on cores right now.
Got the chip with the economy, 20hp and 60hp tow programs and the upgraded IDM.

Sweet. You will be happy when you get it all in. Will be a totally different truck/van. Let me know how it turns out when you get it all in.

I was going to ask you, you said you tow a racecar also. What class do you race? I race what the call Pure Stocks or Bombers depending on where you are. It is a 1977 Camaro. Good old #3. We race at Sunset Speedway in Banks, Oregon. www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com. My buddy races the #8 Purestock Camaro. I raced his car last year. Just thought it was cool someone else raced. Do you race circle track or drag?
