I have been considering replacing my factory injectors with Beans injectors. Has anybody out there installed the 340 hp kit (injectors, chip, exhaust, modified idm, and gauges) on their truck or other Beans products? Also, for the money, do you think the hp / torque gains are resonable? What are some of the other options?
i just sent him my 9 spare injectors on monday to be made into stqage 1's. i cant wait to get em back. bean is a great guy. what is the price for that kit? i am sure it is a good deal.
the price for the kit is $2100. this includes stage 1 injectors, down pipe and 4 " exhaust, 6 position chip, modified idm, and the 3 gauges. per the internet site, claimed rear wheel power is 340 hp and 750 lbs torque. looks like awsome numbers.
i pull a 35 ft 3 horse horse trailer with full living quarters so I need the extra power. I have a 95 psd duelie quad cab in excellent shape. For the most part it is stock, do have a down pipe. I have considered trading for newer just for the extra power but really like this turck. If I can get the performance out of the current truck I will keep it.
My truck is manual trans. I will need to upgrade grade my clutch, roughly $700.
I have been looking at an intercooler. I have found some info on this site about installation. i have been watching ebay, fairly common item.
for the money and claimed performance gains it looks hard to beat. A neighbor bought and installed the big banks kit. he also has the Superchip programmer. His truck is identical to mine but auto trans. he is happy with the performance gains but still has problems keeping up with newer model psd pulling hills. I want to be able to pull away from these newer psd and make them think wow! and the best part of Beans products is they beat Banks by $1K.

I had Bean's rebuild my stock injectors into Stage 1's and bought a 6-position chip from them at the same time. I installed everything over Christmas. It's the best money I've spent on my truck. Huge power gain. Bean's is the way to go.
What fuel pump are you running with these injectors, did you replace it with an electric or running the factory pump? How did the injectors affect your fuel mileage?

I'm running the stock fuel pump, with the FPR shimmed with a BB. Stock turbo as well.
You get the kit, then I will have to get the kit just to stay out in front of these OBS LOL. I would really like to get stage 2s, right now Id even settle for stage 1s, but first thing first I guess.

MikeFromShiloh - sorry about that - I just realized that I didn't answer your question about fuel mileage. So far, I haven't seen any difference since I put the Stage 1's and chip in. I ran a full load of fuel in the +50 HP setting, which seems to be sort of a high-torque towing setup. I got about 15.5-16 mpg, which is the same as with the stock injectors. Now, I'm running it in the +75 hp setting, which seems to be more of a highway setting, based on the way the engine runs. It doesn't make a lot of power until you get it up to 2000 or so RPM. It should do better on mileage, since most of my driving is highway. When I get a little more data on mileage, I'll post it.
