Worst thing about winter down here is having to switch the HVAC from "heat" to "cool" as the day progresses...
Honestly, I don't know how you yankees and snowbirds make it. When it gets below 50F I find it hard to function.
Yeah, my grandmother lives in northern Ga and visited last winter and couldnt believe it. The worse thing about winter here is the same as summer, the humidity. When it gets cold here it is a wet cold that cuts right through anything you are wearing and sets in your bones.
you guys with the warm weather.... i hope ..well never mind. i don't need to be banned.
The weather poses problems for us also. Here I sit having to make the decision to wear a short or long sleeve today. It is 75 degrees, slightly cloudy, light wind, 51% humidity ...... I think I'll go with the short sleeve.

I think I will wear my T-shirt & short pants as well
Here is how I ended up in Las Vegas, from central Idaho, in 1999.
I loaded my snoblower in the back of my truck, and I drove south. I pulled into a truck stop just outside of Las Vegas. It was Janurary. I was gassing up, and a guy came up to me and asked,"what is that machine you have there mister", I laughed and told him I was at my new home!
Now don't get me wrong though. I was born on a pair of skiis. I still love skiing, and I do so all winter long. It's just that now, when I am done with snow and cold, I come home for a few days and thaw out, fishing on Lake Mead with nice 68 to 72 degree temps. I love snow. I just ain't gonna live in it again!
