Fordboy, are you using a poly plow or steel? I would say that you get a lot more snow than I do. Just going by what I was told. Apparently the poly plow is lighter and there is less down force on the wear edge.
some poly plows aren't totally lighter, because there has to be a lot more framework to strengthen the plow when pushing, so sometimes there isnt much difference at all.
some guys just like how the poly won't rust on the moldboard, and also, the snow likes to roll off the poly better than steel. I spray silicone on my plow after each storm. that helps snow from sticking to it. for a little while anyways.
some guys wax the moldboard too, to help move the snow off.
