Mod Questions

I have been reading posts about chips and guages for several years now and I still have a couple of questions. If I put a flip chip in will I notice a significant increase in power. I don't want to do injectors. I did not notice any difference after I put in the intake except for the great sound. Without starting a riot which chip should I use. I need one that does not modify the shifts since I already have a sonnax/tricumulator in my tranny ( heard that putting a chip in that modifys the shift point can damage the tranny if you already have this setup) . Everone seems to think Tony Wildman's the best but if I am not going to do injectors would that be the best/most cost effiecient chip? As for guages I want to run AutoMeter Cobalt series guages. Who has the best price on the entire kit including the full triple pillar etc? Everyone seems to have kits for only 99+. Do these kits include the drills and taps too? Wheres the best place to get paint to match my gray trim. I am not looking to get a crazy amount of power, but and significant increase would be cool. Thanks guys for all your help any input would be greatly appreciated.

A flip chip will increase power output a lot over stock. It is nice to change programs on the fly. You need to talk to Tony or any other programmer about what mods you have on your truck and they will tune for that. itpdiesel.com has gauge kits, also dieselmanor.com, they can get the paint for you. You can order the taps from dieselmanor, it saves a lot of time running around town finding the right one.
