I have a 99 E250 with a 4.2 with an automatic. I,m not getting voltage to the solenoid from the wiring harness. If I jump a wire from the solenoid to the hot from the battery the engine turns over. I want to check the neutral start switch but I have no idea what wires go where. The plug has 12 pins but there are only 9 wires going in and out of it. The Haynes manual is very limited as far as wiring diagrams go.
So does anyone have any idea which of the 9 wires are part of the starting circut? Is there another relay between the ignition switch and the starter? I'd hate to put $60.00 into a switch that I might not need especially if I can test it with a continuity tester first.
This should be the item (The DTR) you wanting to know about.
I have left out connectors and junction box connections, as my source may be different than yours, also the PCM numbers may be different.
