C6 Question

Hi,

I am getting ready to swap a rebuilt C6 for the C6 in my mid-80's F-250 and have a quick question...

I noticed that the number on the top of the bellhousing on the rebuilt one is "24" and my existing one is "88"-- what do these numbers mean?

They identify which die was used to cast the case. There are several dies that are rotated in and out of production.

In short, it doesn't mean anything that's useful.
