"BAD DISK" error msg with stock CD player

My 2002 F150 stock CD player won't play CD's. Nothing was done to the truck other than replace the battery a while back. I take a known good CD and I get a "Bad disk" message. Once in a while It will play a track then eject the CD and give me the same msg. Is there a fix for this? I prefer to keep the stock radio as it does'nt give thieves a reason to break into my truck.

I bought one, tried to run it. Since the stock radios dont have a play button(automatically start to play once CD is inserted), it just kept ejecting the CD cleaner out.It worked on my home CD player with a play button. Plan B looks like I gotta take the thing apart to clean the lens.
