Get the popcorn...

Well i started out with a stock '97 Ranger STX 4.0L 4wd 4.10 gears auto hubs
(i like 4)

So i though it would be a good racer truck(not ricer).

So i put these on for preformace:
Turbo
Computer
Rebuilt the transmision, and regeared it
Stroker kit to 4.5L
New drivetrain, AWD 30% power to front, 70% back
Flowmaster Delta 50 muffler, custom exahust

And the biggest preformance mod, a HEMI sticker. haha

So then i worked over the exterior.
Repainted a Deep red, with blue flames.
fake airscoop
Easily Removble custom brush gaurd, roll bar, and light guard set(Black NOT chrome)
Enough lights to melt the sun
Nerf Bars
Leveling kit
HID Lights
under cairrage effect lights(red)
Some more lights
tonue cover(spelled wrong, i know)can only be on when roll bar is off

then i worked on the sound system.
Got a two tone air horn
sony xplode sound system 6 speakers run off a 1000 watt amp, and woofers run off a 250 watt amp
place to plug in exerior speakers
strobe kit to make the parking and driving lights flash with the song
fog machine(hey, you never know when something like that could come in usefull)

Then i redid the interior. It was a really ugly tan-ish gold, but i made it charcoal.
6 way power leather seats heated.
power mirors
power windows
power locks
remote start
inetior pinstriping to match the exterior pin striping
another hemi sticker for good measure
made the jump seat stay down permantly, and put the woofers under them.

made some of the lights have a remote switch.

other than that, it's completely stock, well maybe there are some litle things i'm forgetting.

still gotta get a good set of rims to pull it all together.

and not a week after it got painted, some backs into it in a parking lot... still have to fix that

Alan D, I feel like starting some trouble today, so I'm gonna call bs on your truck !!!!!!
The dodge power wagon didn't come out untill 05, and the 4x4 mags were criying because it only came with the hemie instead of the diesel. Are we taling about the same dodge power wagon, the one that has front and rear lockers, electric sway bar disconect and a winch, or are you calling something else a power wagon ?

I'm calling a very sporty 2500 a power wagon. It's got the Quad cab option and the 6 ft bed, i put a winch and a brush gaurd on it, it's 4x4, but it also has the benifits of a deisle. I call it my power wagon, too bad i cant put one of those old 1950ish powerwagon bodies on it. Alsa too much work, and way more money than i want to spend on trucks anymore. it's got a nice 3'' lift on it though. i run toyo Opencountry M/T's on it, and i aint afriad to get this truck wet, like i am with the ranger.

You caught me, you caught the tater.

OK, I just wanted to clairify, so you don't have the power wagon edition. Thats ok, alot of people still refer to dodge trucks as power wagons, the name sorts stuck after all these years, so dodge decided to bring it back.

No No Alan, I don't hate dodge at all, I just traded a dodge durango for my jeep, I hate chevy and toyota, dodge is just what I use to rib you and have fun ha ha. I sold dodges for awhile, I even sold myself a durango for the wife. On my list, 1) ford, 2) jeep. and 3) dodge. I would also buy from any company that ford owns, volvo, land rover, mazda, jag, couldn't afford an austin martin, so that don't count. As you can see, chevy and yoda don't even make my list, walking would be a better choice than driving yoda or chevy. I do keep up on dodges and went to dodge product school in 04, so don't try and pull anything ha ha.

Hmm...

1989 Ranger Supercab XLT

Had two mods when I bought it:
Chrome grille guard
Pioneer in-dash CD compatible stereo

Now has:
Leer shell (or cap to some of you...!)
Pioneer CD changer in place of driver's side jump seat
Tilt wheel w/cruise
Bucket seats in place of 60/40 bench to accommodate shifter setback
Rebuilt 5.0 HO w/Mass Air
GT-40P heads
Crane Roller cam
Roller-tip rockers
B/W T-5
Custom headers and exhaust, including Catco hi-flo cats and muffler of my own design
Remote oil filter
Summit Racing aluminum radiator with front sheet metal opened up to improve air flow

...and many more mods to make everything fit and work. Future mods include:

Stereo upgrade, better speakers and amp (No subwoofer...I detest them!)
Lower truck approximately 2", upgrade suspension (yet to be determined)
Wheels/tires...possibly 225/60-15 or 16
Body/paint-nothing wild, possibly a color change since I'm not crazy about brown
Custom grille of my own design (dump the grille guard)
8" or 8.8 rear end w/disc brakes, ratio to be determined after seeing how I like the current 3.45 gears with the 5.0

This is a work in progress with expectations of turning the key in another 2-3 weeks.
