Need help!
I have a 71 f 100 with a 302. Truck wouldnt stay running, so I changed points, plugs etc. still wouldnt stay running. I took the breather off and started inspecting vacuum lines. The vacuum line from the carb to the manifold was rusted at the manifold and broke off there. Any ideas what to do? The truck wont even start now.
Okay so the actual topic is "Hot Air Choke tube broken off" & "truck won't start"
Please put the topic in the title of the thread
Broken Tube.
You can just drill out the broken piece and replace it with a choke tube cut to length available at a parts house.
Now about why your truck won't start.
I suggest you have a fuel delivery problem.
How long has the truck been sitting without being run ?
and
how many miles on it ?
Good thing you're here at FTE now so you can stop spending money on unecessary things

The truck hasnt been sitting long. Maybe a week, however, the previous owner didnt drive the truck much. It only has 69500 original miles. Fuel may be the problem. The guage doesnt work properly, so I filled it as full as I could. Maybe something clogged a line. Also, does anyone know if the fuel filter canister is a screw on or what?
