split manifold for 79 f100 w/ straight 6

I put a split header on my 70 maverick that I drove through highschool and college. It was a blue grabber and I also managed to get some chrome reverse rims and baby moons(remember those?). I should have never got rid of that car. The headers made a world of difference. Everybody thought I was running a small block v8 in it. I raced some small block 302 cars(mostly stock) and they would beat me about 2 car lengths in a 0 to 100 run. I wanted to complete the project with a solid cam/lifters, a better intake and side draft Webbers. Being a poor starving college student is not conducive to much hotrodding. My header was a Hedman(I think) that I got from JC whitney of all places.
One of the most awesome drag cars I ever saw back in college was a 67 chevy 2 with a straight 6. It sounded kind of like a tractor(my brother said pea thrasher) but when he launched it he pulled the wheels 2 feet off the ground. It was seldom ever beat by anything.
You could try Clifford also. They are like the ultimate for inline 6 performance. Also, Hooker makes headers for just about anything made so thats an option too. Hookers are a bit pricey but they work really well.

87 and newer EFI exhaust manifolds are a 3 and 3 design. A couple little grinds and they fit fine with the stock intake. Add to that an Offy DP intake with a 390 cfm Holley 4bbl, and you're on the right track. Walker downpipe will attach the 2 EFI manifolds and clears the crossmember. I put it in my 79 bronco. Only takes a couple little mods to make it fit. If yours is 2wd, it may fit even easier.
