I don't know the WTS color, but , in my musings about installing the autostart I have here have considered hooking it to the glow plug relay instead. That way it gets the full run on the glow plugs. It wouldn't be necesary in summer or if your winters aren't that cold though.
I was told by my local shop that i am friends with the owner that you don't want to hook to the wait to start wire for the reason stated above. When I put mine in they gave me a delay relay that is adjustable from 0-30 seconds so in the winter i can let it warm up longer and in the summer not so long. Hope this helps.
There are three connectors Behind the Cluster the one you want is "250-C"
in this cluster you put up..can i run a second light out of it??? and is it under the dash in the fuse panel? i got a oil and coolent temp gauge comming and its in a dash pod..looks like it might block my wts light...id like to move the light to another spot...thanks...
Ron the wire in the connector is a ground, the Dash WTS gets power form the circuitry in the panel. So if you run 12V + to a bulb it will only come on when that ground is closed so yea I believe it would work
I am installing a remote start and have it all in except the WTS Light wire. Anyone know off hand the color?
Thanks,
Scott
If you have the option of a timered wait (10 or 15 seconds will be enough) instead of trying to find that wire, you will be better off. It will be SOOOO much simpler an install.
