i have been looking at leveling kits and wanted to know how they ride? i have been told that the new front springs ride kind of stiff. what do you guys think? what kind of kits are some of you guys running on your trucks? thanks
braket kits and mini packs retain stock ride, add-a-leaf kits stiffen the ride, the nicer full leaf kits (DR) will improve/soften the ride. I'd stay away from kits such as procomp, rough country, tuff country etc...

yah, i really want the DR 3in shackle kit but dont want to part with the $450. looks like i should just fork over the dough.thanks.
things on these trucks are expensive. you want a good ride, and it doesn't come cheap.
i have the Rough Country leveling kit with a DR 4.5" spring hanger, and the new Rough Country spring pack rides REALLY great. couple it with Bilsteins, and you have a great ride. from what i can remember from my stock front springs, the new ones are firmer, but not stiff. it handles alot sharper but it's not a rough ride. it doesn't ride like a Buick though.

I was going to go with the DR 2.5" stuff until a friend pointed out the Rubicon Express stuff so I ordered that. It was way cheaper, but I only bought the hangar and shackle, not the whole $500 kit. I've installed RE stuff before (tons of jeeps, only a couple fords) and it's top quality, I don't think your giving anything up to DR.
I have the Tuff country add a leaf on mine and the ride is very good. It made it ride better than stock, but the front springs had a bit if sag to them, so it makes it handle quite a bit better. It took about 4 hours to install in my driveway and about $100 for the kit. It raised the front just under 2'' and made room the the 315's I put on.
Ive got a 2000 psd crew cab. Just like pbr man, I had my front springs start to sag. Went with rough country leveling kit. Kit came with full front springs w/new ubolts and shocks. Iam very happy with quality of product. Installed in about 2.5 hours with help of lift. Ride quality a little stiffer than stock, however stock springs just a click over 120,000. Kit cost around 350$
