From what I'm reading I need to switch the key on but don't start the engine press accelerator to the floor and swtch the key off then switch the back on for 3 sec. Do I hold the accelerator down through out the whole process?

Drop the accelerator in one smooth easy motion and when it hits bottom...then you release it.
i did this step, is there something (i.e flashing light) that would give me a confirmation that this was done correctly? and is there a list out there of other things like this?
thanks guys for this valuable piece of info. This will be stored in the information bin for further reference. right now, i don't seem to have a lot of trouble with this but i have't really gotten down on it that hard yet. just turned 800 miles and trying to be a little conservative which is hard for me...

No there are no lights to tell you. you will just have to go by the seat of your pants fill. I personaly bought the EDGE.
I do not know of any lists. The transmissions have what is know as adaptive learning. If you drive it like a Granny it will learn that is your style and run accordingly. I perfer the Mario Style, allthough this style will cost you at the pump.
Took my 06 screw in to have it checked for a hesitation when I do quick acceleration. The 5.4 acts like it is starving for fuel when I push the accelerator pedal like when I need to pass or do a quick take off. It does it from a complete stop or when I am running along fat dumb and happy. Dealer says that it is normal and is due to the time lapse in the accelerator electronics. I think he's full of bull. Anybody else have this problem?
I actually went with the "Predator" because of my experience with my prvious truck (7.3l diesel). I emailed Diablosport with a question about modifing my tune for 89 octane and received an answer the same day. Went home installed the modified tune and it was awesome! no hesitation at all! I hear a lot about the EDGE and I'm sure it's great, but if you are like me on a tight budget I suggect you cruise eBay for a Predator for less than half price of a new one! just makes the gains all the sweeter! I'm very impressed with the tuner and the customer service! FWIW...
I tried this yesterday and it made a big difference on my 04 Scab. Thanks for the info!
