If you're farting on a regular basis - see a specialist. However, if it farts occasionally, like mine does, keep an eye on it. Lately, i have not been driving my 250 because of my business travel - I noticed my truck likes to be driven - and things calm down once it has been put through its paces. BTW, mines farted since new and especially when I nail the go-pedal and pull off quickly. No worries, here.
Maybe my truck has been farting but I never really noticed it. Took a trip on the interstate and the farting appears to have calmed down. I guess I will be driving the truck more. Looks like the noise is normal when you nail it and then back off.
Mine does it after a quick let off the pedal while in Boost mode. Just dumping boost the dealer said. NBD . . . Do use an Airaid cold box intake setup and an SCT Xcal2.
UPDATE!! Guys, looks like I have developed a leak on top of the front axle after the interstate trip. I don't know where the leak is coming from right now. Will have to investigate further.
I had the same problem. When letting quickly off the accelerator or when under a load pulling a 7000 lb. camper in overdrive when the turbo boost hits ~ 20 lbs. I heard the same story over and over that it was normal from the dealer I purchased the truck from. The noise wa-pa-pa, wa-pa-pa was there from day one when I bought the truck new. After 15,000 miles and a trip into Canada pulling a camper, I unplugged the EGR valve and it helped quite a bit. I took the 2005 F250 to another dealer, told them what was happening, I actually filmed my dashboard with my ditigal camera, they replaced both the Turbo and the EGR. They said the problem was mainly the turbo, but they would replace both the turbo and the EGR. No more turbo pharting all the way home.
