Volare front suspension
Hi there. im new to the forum but am excited to share my limited knowledge and feed off everyone elses. i just purchased a 55 F100 project. It is a very solid truck that someone has already started to hot rod, including installing a Volare-type IFS. I was wondering if anyone here has done this, and most importantly what you have done for motor mounts and steering box? I have no problem making mounts as i have a fair bit of fabrication and machining experience, i am curious, however, to see what other people have done. I was also wondering if anybody had put rack and pinion steering in with the Volare clip. To me this just simply seems like the easiest way to gain clearance for headers and motor mounts.
If you have any experince with this sort of IFS conversion let me know. Thanks

Welcome to FTE! Do some searching around the forums, the search tool here is great, and you want to know about one of the most common suspension swap questions.
