i went spray-on... i figured "I've spent all this money on my new truck, im gonna take care of it!" i personnaly think its better... i can throw stuff i and it wont move (unless i lock-up the brakes) i can throw a load wood, dirt w/e and not worry about it getting under... and when i get my atv... i can drive it up and not have the liner move from the weight....
i have thrown... and i do mean thrown.... a 4 speed tranny for a triumph spitfire (the car is smaller than a miata) into the truck and it just bounced... no dings, dents, chips or gouges... maybe i got lucky? or its just good?
most fords (i think) nowadays r coming from the factory with the rail guards... and seeing as most liners r now under the rail... if u scratch anything... its just gonna be the bed... and not the top of the box...
it just comes down to what u wanna spend, what u can spend... and what YOU want..... its like buying the truck... YOU wanted it so YOU bought it! i hope thats how it went?? lol
Hey, your just accross the river Do you pla in the water much? I wasn't talking about your set up. I am on my second line-x in my second truck and I just like them better.
Ah, roger that. After reading your post again, I can sense some pot stirring
I got a drop in with foam under layment to help keep the liner from scratching the bed for $131.00 total. I can always have a spray on if I want but I've been happy with the drop in so far.
I agree with automaticj5, mine came with the drop in which they forgot to include in the final price at the time of sale. So I got it for free and can't complain too much. Stuff sliding around sucks. If it's not full of firewood, it slides all over the place, gas canc don't stay put. Firewood doesn't dent the inner fenderwells though. If they were going to charge me for it i would have told them to take it out. The spray-ins that I have seen at trade shows haven't impressed me, be it rhino, line x or other. They don't feel grippy enough to prevent sliding, What happens to the coating if the metal underneath gets dented? Right now my bed liner is a free slip and slide, i'm not paying 4-600 for the same. Sometime I'll get a rubber mat and trim it down to fit inside the bedliner. My dad has always used rubber mats, and nothing moves, but the rest of the bed gets trashed.
