I got a stick mostly because the only Rangers I could find with factory buckets all had the stick. IMO, the buckets are a big improvement over the regular seat since the driver's side has adjustable lumbar support.

I got lucky, my truck is auto with buckets from the factory.
Out of the 5 rangers I've had, only one has been an automatic, and I had no problems other than I don't like automatics. I'm 47, and you can count on one hand how many automatics I've owned in my life. I think you would be happy either way, it's just a personal preference. Yeah, SC means supercab, I didn't really need it, thats the only way I could get the 4.0. Now that I have it, comes in pretty handy at times, like when we take it to the supermarket or feed store and it's raining. I have two other vehicles but some times we do take the truck, and I'm not in to bed covers or caps, I think a truck should have the bed open so you can get to it and use it, it's a hillbilly thing, you wouldn't understand ha ha. In other words, the SC isn't a bad thing at all, I've had other SC, but didn't think I would need one now that the kids are all grown and such, but it still comes in very handy and ya gotta have the 4.0, it's the bomb !!!!!!!!!
is there a good phrase to use searching automatic transmissions' problems? i'm usually fairly successful with this, but i am getting either positive response or so general they're not a convincing argument fer or agin.
i have a 2001 4x4 with the two sucide mini doors. over 115000 miles on it 4.0 engine. Never have had 1 single problem with it. Just gave it its first tune up.I know i waited way to long but it just started running rough. after tune up new plugs and wires fuel and air filter. running nice and smooth.Next up is changing the trans fluid. When you go look at trucks always look for rust and heavy duty hiches just my H.O.
