I need to remvoe the upper intake to chang the valve cover gasket on the pasenger side. The repair manual says there is six attachment points. Five are normal bolts I can get to. The last is in the middle on the passenger side. The manual identifies it as a screw. My question is what type of screw is it? I can go past the valve cover with my hand. I believe a 5 mm hex fits it okay but since I cannot see I am not sure.
Any Ideas?
One more question do I need to use gasket maker on any of these surfaces?
I've used a gasket maker on my intake, I applieed a very thin amount on the intake side to help seat the gasket and let it dry before torque it down in a x type of pattern. and did the vaalve covers the same way, I used the rubber with the steel inside type of gasket.,,as I didn't want to redo it later next year because of strinkage problems likr you get with cork.
Reamer did you ever get your engine working right?
