4wd not working

i have a 1993 ford ranger 4wd and u can push the 4ih and the shafts want turnand when u push the 4L it goes to 2wd . i got to start driving this one i had a 1992 with 4in lift and a set of 33s and a girl hit me last night . thanks for the help

The T/C has a electrical/magnetic operated clutch (single brown wire on T/C) which is deenergized when in the off/auto position,

12vdc is applied to this clutch when switched to 4hi (no motor movement), engaging the front shaft.

When switched from 4hi to 4 low the motor turns a shaft in the T/C, changing the gear ratio.

Thanks man for your help , so what do i need to do to fix it put a new t/c motor on the t/c or do u thank i can take it off and fix it .thanks agin man

Fist things first, check and see if you have B+ power on the brown wire to the clutch when the switch is in 4hi.

If no, find out why
if yes, then the clutch may need survicing.

I think it's in the rear of the transfer case. it should have some wires hanging off of it.
