recently my brakes have been acting up...I will get on my brakes to stop and the pedal won't move (feels like there will be something behind it preventing it from moving)...I then get off the pedal and try again, and finally it moves and i come to a stop. This tends to happen alot, and it's kinda dangerous...why is it doing this??? Help please!
Sounds like your power brake booster. Check vacuum line going to it. It may have a crack,or the grommet it plugs into. Also listen for vacuum leak around booster itself.
I don't know what year you have but the piviot point on the brake pedal can bind up in side the cab. If you pull out the bolt and clean it and put a little white grease on it it can help alot.
sorry for that...its a 2000 f 150...took it out driving this morning and it still did it a few times. I never know when it will do it. Just tends to have a mind of it's own.
