DANGER...E-350...Negligent construction
Back up and take a deep breath. No need to get a personal shouting match going. Hate is a strong word.
Just some friendly advice, take a deep breath and back away from the keyboard.
112233,
Before we get to far down this road, Ford is replacing the axle, dealer just waiting on the parts. There was never any question of this, he took it into the dealer on monday due to oil leak and dealer called back same day and said they where replacing the axle.
As for responsibilty there is enought to go around. Ford provided the chassis (E-350 cutaway), Dana the axle, Upfitter built the motor home and certified it road worthy, as did the RV dealer that sold it. Vehicle was purchased with 1700 miles on it and purchaser added another 250 before a minor leak started at the rear axle.
As far as encouraging lawsuits etc, read the guidlines of FTE, Legal disscussions of any kind are strictly prohibited.
Hope this helps
You're right, and I'm sorry. It's easy to tell I'm young because I do say things sometimes before I think them through. I'm quick to act on emotions.. and like I said I'm sorry for that... I know that I have a lot of growing up to do. And to you 112233, I'm sorry as well. I had a long, bad day yesterday.. and it kinda carried over to my daily reading here on FTE.
When people are of the "sue first, talk later" mentality.. that really sets me off. I mentioned that my oldest brother is an attorney... he mainly handles wrongful death, malpractice, injury, and divorce cases. Some of the cases he's fought are so stupid.. and I think it makes my family look bad to have him representing people that have less-than-honorable intentions. I.E.; a client who bought a trampoline from a sporting good store, had his kid fall off of it because of misuse, and then sue the manufacturer for not properly stating the danger of breaking one's leg during use... ( this is truth, he won this case, and the settlement was for $13,000,000 ) Was that kid's leg worth $13,000,000??? No. Did he go through $13,000,000 worth of mental anguish? I don't think so... but they got the settlement. I think that just is terrible!! And my family stays at odds because of his choice of profession. Now there are some legal matters that are just.. I don't doubt that.. just the 80% of lawsuits that aren't.
Let's leave all that at that. Like I said earlier, I apologize for shooting my mouth off. I'm a 22 y/o civil engineering major (jr.) at the University of Alabama. And we lost yesterday to Tennessee..
So it was a bad day all around. Sorry guys..-Casey
