Torque Converters

Anyone know a good company that makes good torque converters? I have a 90 5.8 E4OD and I was wondering what the best torque converter for the money is? I am going ot rebuild the transmission, because third gear is missing(or so the transmission guy thinks) and I'd like ot upgrade to a good, economically priced torque converter. Midwest converters has a nice torque converter, but it's $500. I don't wanto t spend thta much on a torque converter. I can get a rebuilt on from my job for around 110.

for the price it costs to rebuild that tranny in general i would imagine you would want to not skimp on something like the converter either. you go cheap there and it may cause problems later, as for what brand I couldnt say.
