how can a range be between 9 and 20?? im not doubting you at all but thats pritty crazy no?? is there any variables that might make a difference? i just dont want to cause any problems to my great running engine...??
I know the torque might be the same but just in case can someone provide the spark plug torque for 2003 4.6L, thanks
My '97 Service Manual shows 80-178 lbs/in (approx 7 - 15 lbs/ft) for both the 4.6 and 5.4 plugs. I doubt it changed for '03, even with the extra threads.
BTW, the '97 - '02 Ford Truck Service Manual files are available for download here: http://www.fordcds.com/
Got the plugs changed. What a PITA. Glad I went to church today because I said just about every cuss word that exists. You sure have to be patient. Dropped one of the little bolts that holds down the COP. Took forever to get it. Glad I did it myslelf though since it was only 20 bucks for the plugs. I smile when thinking what the stealership would have charged me.
