Thanks for the pictures those are new to me. I know I don't know a lot about Diesels, but did anyone notice the size of the rocker arms on a couple of the cutaway pictures? Don't they look wimpy? I know these are not high reving enginers but they still look fragile compared to a typical rocker arm that I am use to working with. Is this what the current 6.0 has?
Those of you with 6.0's, is the variable geometry turbo set up the same way? I don't have a 6.0, but I don't remember seeing that type of set up. It is set up a bit like the old waste gate system.
They are a complicated mess of hoses and coolers that's for sure and not too fun to work on. All tho with the new hydra formed front body structure there is good access to somethings by taking out the inner fenders.
There built exactly like the new dodges with the inner structure the way it is now, the frame even looks like a dodge up front how it lowers down. And the grill being bolted to the hood, Its gonna be expensive to wreck one of these if all the coolers get ruined... and im not looking forward to working on them..
You mean to say that the hood is going to be like the dodge truck hood where the front grill is attached to the hood and when opened the front is exposed ?
Wow, next (in 2010) maybe they will have the Cummins diesel, then maybe I will buy one. I am done buying ANY diesel until 2010 when navistar/intenational no longer has a contract with Ford. BTW, saw a new "mega cab" truck from Dodge last night. I think this is the first year they could do such a thing. As I remember they wrote a contract with Ford and Chevy so they could use the Cummins diesel in their trucks. Dodge could not produce a Crew Cab version Dually until this year. I have been told this by many people over the years.

Keep in mind it is not how they are made, it is what they are made out of
