I have a Twin-I-Beam '66 and need to locate the brake light switch. I *think* I have located it (next to brake reservoir on fire wall), but need to verify this with someone.
Also, does anyone know where to order a new/used switch (pref new).
Peter you are absolutely on the bubble. That twin I-Beam 1966 Ford F100 has the brake light switch right there beside the single line master cylinder on the firewall.
You can get a new switch at your favorite parts house.
Why do you want to buy a new one, have you tested the two wires connected to the switch to see if there is power. I think one is hot all the time, and when the pedal is depressed the other will be hot, to light the rear bulbs. Check that first before you purchase a new one
Can't find it on line at OReillys and other online sights show a pedal switch which isn't what we need. Could someone let me know where to get one? LMC catalogue doesn't show one either

Autozone carries them just might have to go into the store and have them get it as opposed to looking online before hand
