I have a 1995 F150 4x4 302 pickup ,it runs great when gas tank is full but seems to lose power after gas gets below half a tank , is this an indication that the fuel pump is going bad or something else?
this is a fuel delivery issue not ignition related. and to honest the ignition on our rigs are more then capable of handling the motors we have under the hood. keeping in tune is the key

I agree this is a fuel problem; however, I must state that even stock motors will benefit from a performance ignition(whether it ours or another reputable ignition mfg.) You are absolutely correct, that keeping in tune is a key, but so are variables such as voltage under load, dwell time, being able to run wider plug gaps, and durability.
