Rear Window Removal

I have always used a screwdriver and worked my way around the window. However on older windows you don't have a metal frame so be very careful they break very easy. I also use oil or something to help install the window. Oh yeh... If the window has been in for a long time your going to have fun.

Matt, I would waste the rubber unless it is fairly new. Take a drywall knife and cut the rubber on the inside and push the window out leaving the bottom. When most of it is pushed out go around and lift it the rest of the way.
You install with a 3/16 window sash cord, make a loop set the window in place and start pulling the cord out and the rubber lip holds the glass in place.
