Replacing double cats with single?

I have a 95 f150 4x4 pickup with 302 and automatic transmision, it cme with 2 converters, can the two converters be replaced by a single converter and pass emission test?
if not were do you get these converters ? is this a dealer only product?

You can get after market cats that will flow better than the stock replacement. Not sure if going down to one cat will make a bad test?

single cat

I did it on my 95 2wd 302. I found a dual inlet and single 3'' outlet and it passed emesions.
