it is REALLY hard because a t-bird is only 5 inches off the ground so we have it up on ramps but it doesnt make it to much higher, I will respond hopefully tomorrow with all the right stuff...sorry guys for lack of info just work has been keeping me WAY busy till late at night and so when I get home im tired to go do it for my dad sorry guys again for lack of info I'll post when I have it all figured out
nope million still had to get under :-) its to compact to get it lol
alright guys i got you numbers yes I did and some pics
Ok so here is a number that is infront of the carb - 3E 10 then it has a : right underneath it goes C3AE9425B that is the clearest i could make it the best I could
Ok this is off the exhaust manifold no way you could see it better 2A1O (poss 9) then undearneath it goes C1AE9430-D
than I rolled on over with meh handy creep to the oil filter and right next to it where the oil pan is this little guy appeared with 4C12
alright :-/ my camera is messed up and the only clear pics that came are from the far ones so yea
this is the whole engine
she put the thunderbird covers from a 66 t-bird on a 58 t-bird with a what type of engine!?
this is where i found the 3E 10 Number and the other
you can almost see the numbers
The lady listed it as a 352 but its def not and she mixed everything from different engines it is utterly stupid
I PRAY these numbers figure this out :-( because im confused, and the casting number is so demented the one we cant figure out that it looks like a 6 but could be an 8 and the only reason I came on the 73-79 forum is because I was told by everyone else it was a 78 engine.
Thanks for the help
EDIT: Sorry for typos im tired, and the spark plugs go like \\// as you can tell mil1ion :-)

Truck Engine block > Part cast March 12th,in a year that ends in 4.
Still need the 2nd character on the block number
Dennis with that date casting code it would almost for an assuredly make it March 12th 1974 (since we know for a fact it's a 70s block with the D as the first charactor in the other casting number) which would fit with the other casting number bieng D3TE instead of a 8 in the second position which is a common misreading of the numbers. Meaning it would a 74 truck block.
Of coarse that still doesn't tell you if it's a 360 or a 390 only the crank will clarify that.

I am trying to figure out, it is like something is melted over it like solder or something.... ive sanded it with 200 grit sand paper, that should make it go over, wire brush, degreaser and stuff, it is like some idiot decided they didnt want anyone else to know the engine blah! I am might have to chizel what ever is melted over it out and try to follow it and see what number it makes
oh boy bar of soap DOI lol i think i might even have carbon paper in my garage, but I dont want to go down to the garage right now i am tired from working all day on my day off
Edit: Dennis I wasnt making fun of you, if it came off that way, I was saying doi not sarcasitcally but why didnt I think of that
