Flushing Brakes

Guys,

I posted this in the Brakes area as well..Got some good advice.

I want to flush my brake system as my Ex is almost 5 yrs old.

Do you know how much DOT 3 brake fluid I will need to do a total brake flush?

No real clue...but an educated guess based on a disk front drum rear I did a few years back...

My rear system took 3 normal sized and the front took 2 bottles before it was totally clear... with out going to the shop I think the typical bottle is about 10 oz...might be 12 oz

For the twin sets of disk brakes (calipers hold more juice then wheel cylinders do) I would have at least 6 bottles on hand or about 64ozs

Of course mine was real grodey (sp?) it might take half that to get good clear fluid to flow if your current fluid is not badly contaminated
