The SC are selectable because they don't have a full size back seat, the CC has a full size seat that will take a child seat so there is no switch as per the government.
We still have a house in Neb but we are Fulltiming in out 5th wheel right now enjoying SW Oregon, we will be back in Husker Land sometime in the spring to take care of a few things and then off to how knows where.
i don't have a switch in my CC either. i thought maybe it was an option or maybe it was detected with weight like some vehicles. i wish i had the switch though. maybe it can be added? it's where the power point is.

The switch can be installed, but the airbag module has to be re-programmed to recognize the switch.
This is pre'05, at least.
Years back, one person had done it, got a Ford dealer to reprogram the air bag module with the SC or regular-cab code, and it worked. I don't think you can just walk into any dealer and get them to change the code in the air-bag module that way though
The other possibility is to go to a junkyard, get the switch AND the air-bag module from a wreck and install.
