Sounds great ! personally, I put my own system together from misc. parts. I'm not into LOUD, I've heard too many booming in the distance and get downright nasty when close. I'd look into the material the speakers are made with and the size of the magnet(s). I think a 4"-5 1/2" speeker w/ a 10 - 12 oz. magnet will better quality than a 12" speeker w/ an 8 oz. magnet AND it's easier to fit in doors, etc. To each their own. Compare output amps, Mhz ratings, etc. Enjoy - or vibrate at will.

Not too tough to do. Alot of your open entry CD/MP3 players now have a rear rca subwoofer controller. I install alot of Pioneer DEH-3800MPs. The DEH-3800MP has two sets of RCA outputs. One set of the RCA's can be converted to a subwoofer out with a sub filter. I install this radio with a 4 channel amplifier. I run all four speakers to the front two channels of the amplifier and then bridge the other two channels to a single 10" sub. The front RCA's run the highs and the rear RCA's run the sub. Perfect combo. The DEH-3800MP runs you about $140. A simple 100x4 amplfier about $175. Two sets of 5x7s $160. Single 10 box for your truck $75.00. 10" sub $50. That gets ya to your $600 mark minus a amp installation kit and radio bracket and harness. I just recenlty put this same setup into a customers 06 F150 last weekend. I used the radio and the rest of the components where all DB Drive. Up front we went with some 5 1/4 components and in the rear went with some matching coaxials. His price tag was a bit more with the labor.

Here's some shots of the doors. The crossover to the components fits nicely under the window switches.
