I don't have pics of the subs, but I will in a day or two.... I have 2 subs to the left behind the 3rd seat, and my amp is under the drivers side 2nd row seat... not the most professional, but it works great, and if i need the room in the back 2 wires are the only things that are keeping the subs there. with my tools and stuff, the subs sit there great.... I plan to eventually have a shop build 2 subs in the back doors (one in each) and professionally have it done... but for now, I have these brand new subs and a box that I got for a VERY good price, so I can't complain... tonight I'll try and take some pictures and update my album....

so are they just to the right of the spare tire?
problem with the back door is the back door is fiberglass so it will bow when a subwoofer hits so im staying away from installing in the back door. i was thinking where they jack is on the right

There is a kit that puts a sub in the center console - still trying to get the info.
Will post when I get it.

The center console sub is made by JL and is called the Stealthbox. It holds a single JL 10" sub, and it sounds great... not to mention it takes up absolutely NO room in the rear compartment, which is what I was looking for in the first place. You lose the center console compartment for holding a bunch of crap, but the X has MANY places to store crap. The Stealthbox keeps some sort of storage ability under the console lid (about 3" deep).

Check Out My Gallery. I Have A Pair Of 12's In A Box. I Was Going To Do The Rear Barn Door Thing But It Wont Hit As Hard. When You Face The Subs To The Front, You Loose Some Of The Deep Low Bass.

Thanks Sturzinator - saves me a stop.

This is what I want to put in also. I would think having the sub up fron and facing down would really add to the bass "feel".

I Have The Seat, Not The Console In Mine, That Made My Mind Up Right There. I Guarentee, That My 2 12" Subs Hits A Ton Harder Than The 1 Sub Up Front. Mine Made My Rear View Mirror Fall Off Once.

Racer, I'm glad you think you're two 12's will hit harder than a JL 10. Not all of us want our mirrors to fall off. I guarantee that the JL 10 will fill the X with tighter, cleaner bass than those nasty MTX's. Besides, that big ugly box is taking up valuable cargo space....

....but I digress.... it's your ride

I almost hate to ask, but you don't say if you have this or are planning on it? I've seen this link before, and interested in it since I don't want to have to remove a big sub box to go on a road trip, etc...

Wondering where you put the amp, does not look like it's part of the enclosure unless I mis-read the info? Did you purchase on line or local store? Tried their dealer locator, but only one choice about 50 miles away... Thanks!

I have the Stealthbox in my X right now. I had a box behind the rear seat prior (Kicker SoloBaric 12") but hated that it always seemed to be in the way when hauling stuff, people, dogs, etc. Enter the Stealthbox. Got mine from a local JL dealer. JL does not authorize online sales, so you're stuck with going through a dealer. You might be able to find one on ebay from time to time, but they are a rare bird.... and a bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for with JL.

As for the amp, I have it mounted under the second row bench seat. It's a clean intstall, all wires are routed under the carpet. It's out of the way and doesn't interfere when I need to fold the second row seats down. I see that you have the second row captain's chairs. I'm sure the install for you would look just as clean and hidden as mine.

I don't use my 3rd row very often, so I built a relatively flat box that fits in the foot well area of the 3rd row. Now, my cargo floor is completely flat all the way through except for one end where the sub protrudes up a couple of inches. The box is set up so that I can remove it anytime with minimal effort should I choose to install the 3rd row. The box houses a Phoenix Gold 10" - I won't win any spl contests, but it gives me nice tight bass.

Thumbs down cocky response

hey sturz, um, no,i know quality. if you look in my gallery, i have 2-12 " solobarics with an orion 250 hcca, the red ones, in my dodge, i have hit 167 db when i was in a db drag. you are correct in one thing, the JL's are awesome, but for the price, my $200 subs and amp combo work great for me. oh, and for hauling, thats why i have my dodge, and my 06 trailblazer ext lt. and why are you getting so cocky, because someone has something else than you and it sounds great??????? maybe its just your normal personality. sucks if you ask me......

oh, get some pics of your x, words say alot, but pics say more. sounds nice, lets see nice.

Racer: I'm impressed with your db drags score, that makes me feel small and insignificant.... congratulations and good luck with your god complex! My response was sarchastic, not cocky (you'll see a similar pattern in this response, if you're easily offended by sarchasm then stop reading right now). As I said, not all of us need our mirrors to fall off when we hit the loud ****. I offered up my opinion and what worked for me, sorry your feelings got hurt.

I'll post some pics of my X when I give two yanks. I would hope that most people would care less to see a close-up of my shocks or exhaust or _______ (insert bolt-on mod here). Besides, it's all muddy from hunting this weekend and I'm not sure if I could capture any of the bling (HA, I used "bling" in a sentence finally, and it still sounds SO wrong!!). If you've seen one jacked-up X, you've seen 'em all in my opinion. They look good, end of story. In contrast If I wanted to see a picture of what a chrome gas fill door looks like, I'd kick my own ***. But that's your indidvidual taste and your ride, so mucho beuno buddy! The mods are there on my sig to give others a clue what the beast is packing when asking a question/replying/etc. (i.e. technical). You see, it's just there for info, not a hotdog measuring contest.

I'd love to get into a pissing match with you, but I've got a db drag to prepare for (whatever that consists of) with my puny 10" sub , so flame on or PM me for further conversation. Have a great day!
