Ok, I finally got some pictures of the ol girl, Bessie, my 66 F-250. I am changing the rims out tomorrow, these are Mickey Thompson Classic II's, 16x10, they are a tad to wide for the wheel wells. I am putting 16x8s on her, she still gets used as a truck, hauled about 5 tons of dirt this summer, and about the same in gravel!
Ahhhhhhhh, You have Christmas lights up!!! LOL We were just talking about how Christmas decorations were already starting to show up in the stores... Pre-Halloween, Pre-Thanksgiving...Arghhhhhh.
Thanks, terry, nope just a redneck, left em up for 2 yrs now(the Christmas lights!) My daughter is 6 and we turn em on a few times a year for different reasons.
Nope Bd, it is a longbed, however a friend of mine who does metal work is going to take about 8" off the rear, she has a dent on the drivers side rear rear that is about 8" long at the bottom. I think it will give it a unique look. I will put some up once it is done. The really nice part about CA is that both of my old trucks have NO rust.
Very nice slick. I love the wheels on that one. Glad to hear that it is still a truck...LOL... I love to see a slick pulling or towing a newer car or truck. They sure don't make them like that anymore.
Great looking slick, I like the stance the wheel & tire combo give's it. One ?; I thought all my fellow necks where this side of the river.. I guess not. Both trucks are awesome.
Thanks Custom, nah a few of us necks became Leathernecks for a time beings and ended up on the left coast, <~~~ Originally from Missourah, but the spouse and young'un like to go to the salt water on occasions, soooooo here I be!
Heck yes!! Pulls like a train, lugs so wonderfully, I am looking for another 300 to build and put in my 77 when the 351Measly dies. I get about 14-16 mpg drivin her nice and staying around 60-65, if I kick her up to fast, she gets really wound up with 4.10s in the rear, but she will suprise a few rice burners on the highway! she will do 100+!
Your picture make me miss my 69 that had a 300 6. I pulled a lot of things with that truck and she never complained. I sold my 1991 this monday and it had a EFI 300 6. I think the 69 had more power though for some reason. I hauled a load of concrete with the 91 about 2 months ago, that had to be every bit of 3 tons. The only trouble was getting started on a hill. Over all I would say you made a great engine choice, mileage and power. Both my 300's got 18-20mpg, but I didn't soup mine up like yours.
Yep, the fun factor comes into play every time I drive it, seems I always end up slappin her to the floor and opening all 4 up and let her sing! I have a 1800lb car hauler, and had a 29.5hp Kubota 4wd tractor w/front bucket and huge rear gannon, about 5500lbs, drug it up the hills here just fine and dandy, couldn't have been happier with the ol girl.
