Doing a restoration on a 66 f-250 w/390. Looking for exterior badging, trim / molding, lenses (parking light), antenna, tailgate (non stepside /flairside), non-dented grill, Interior instrument *****. New quarter window gaskets.
Any suggestions on where to get the above would also be very appreciated. I have come to one of the best places on the web it seems. Hope you all can help. Thanks...
Dale,
Here's a general list of some of the suppliers used most often. Try Mac's Antique Auto Parts, AutoKrafters, or Dennis Carpenter's Reproductions for starters. They all have websites. The classified ads here on this site also have those sort of items for sale from time to time. Hope that helps some.
Dale, I'll add another for the east coast Carolina Classics 800-598-4211. Sounds like you have deep pockets and plenty of jingle. Better keep em full... right Oz? :-)

Hi Dale,
I'll add Obsolete Ford Parts in Oklahoma City.
They have a lot of stuff in their catalog. The prices are a bit on the high side but they're close for me. Good Luck!

While you are on the web, don't forget to bookmark ebay. Use the auto section and try all sorts of variations of your truck such as 1966 Ford truck, 65-66 Ford pickup, 66 Ford pickup truck, etc. Some people say to try misspelling words but that hasn't yielded anything to date for me. I have found alot of good used parts, some very interesting complete trucks and even new stuff. But remember it is an auction so things can get out of hand. It would be best to have at least a catalog or two to refer to price and quality (repro vs Ford replacement vs NOS).
I have even recieved some mail from a few people who have parts here. It is great to hear from other people who have this era truck, suggestions, tips, and even a bit of bragging. I have ordered some parts from JC Whitney, ie: weather stripping ( matched up perfect ), the window glass channel ( matched nicely aswell ) and a pair of 90-130W H4 headlights to keep the path lit clear. Although I am restoring the truck I am also modifying it a bit. When I bought the truck it had a bit of rust. I am in the process of clothing, and filling now, as well as doing some modifications.
Putting a later era mustang cobra hood scoup, the truck came with a 3" body lift so it sits knee breakingly high even for myself at 6'5". Truck curently has 36" x12.50 BfG's. That will change soon eneough to a larger 38" x 12.50's BfG Mudders on highly polished magnesium fan wheels. As for the inside that also gets a remake over, with fresh paint, engine turned gauges by stewart warner as well as a backplate engine turned aswell, a steering wheel from a 77' (sport) f-100, plush carpet and a modest sound job by Polk Audio. The bench seat was gone before I got the truck, now in it are two extremely plush comftorable bucket seats (lumbar support and all!). The bed of the truck is starting to show wear, so it will end up with a 1/2" stainless diamond tread base, sides will get a nice coating of bedliner to keep the noise to a minimum. Engine atm is a 390, it will sport a holly, and headers, with the fumes down through some flowmasters. As for a later swap, if the van that I currently own has a major problem it can be a donor of a 460(!) tranny, and rebuild project. It is a lot of work, as many of you know to turn a piece of coal into a diamond. That is what keeps us going I suppose, and a understanding bank account (a wife if you have one), and loads of time. Thanks again for the tips. Take care.
