Question Truck Bed

I know it's a long shot. I've scoured Colorado but have been unable to come up with a decent bed for my 78 F250. Anyone have any ideas in this area?

Good luck, these are far and few between when it comes to finding a good one. You might check with the guys/gals in the Colorado chaper forum.

There are places in the SW that specialize in rust free parts. You would have to have it shipped or go get it.

I just found a longbox 8' bed, no rust through, no major dents, and got for $100 bucks on ebay, but I would just continue to look in every backyard that you pass. You will be surprised at what you spot. Especially out in the country.

i have been toying with the idea of a late model stepside box on my 79, but have not come up with anything. beds for this bodystyle in my area are pretty much nonexistent. and shipping would be very expensive. i was browsing throuygh the LMC catalogue and in their replacment sheetmetal it looks as if you can order an entire bed but would then have to piece it together. i think it came out to like $3000 some dollars american though. not sure if that is actually possible though

Yea, you would have to find a good bodyman for that unless you know how to do those types of things yourself. Also, you would want to be careful of the non-oem reproduction stuff, on just how well the items would fit together.

But yea, one can make a new bed for their truck.
