It's more than just a truck. It's a tool that I use to provide food and comfort to my family. It's a considerable investment in TIME from my life that I'll NEVER get back, even if the insurance company replaces my truck.

I catch somebody trying to steal my truck, I will kill them graveyard dead, and I won't think twice about it.

And I'll sleep very well after I do it, too.

Parents, teach your kids that the consequences of stealing can be FATAL.

FWIW There was a recent case in Utah where a RV was parked at a Walmart with a family asleep inside when a criminal broke in and was "met" with fire power/bullets which caused serious injury (to the criminal). No charges were filed against the RV owner because it was determined that he was protecting his family. I believe therein lies the general rule: The average guy is justified in using/discharging a weapon if he is protecting life... Not to say that you can't apprehend someone at gunpoint if they are causing property damage.

This was exactly my point Gunner, I guess some people just don't get it. I guess we should expect so much crime since we are now a kinder and more gentle society. It all comes with a price. This one just happens to be $45,000.

See I don't think I'd kill someone for trying to steal my truck.....but I guarantee they won't have any toes left.....or their knee will exit their leg at the speed of a 12 guage slug. Theres over 40 grand in that truck and insurance prolly wouldn't offer me over 1000, but money's not why I'd shoot em, my truck has been in my family since 1978 and gone through 3 generations. My mom even considers the truck a part of the family, anytime its broke down she's the one jumpin all over me to get it repaired cause "its too nice to just sit there". Someone messing with this truck to me would almost be like messing with my kid (of course if i had a real kid this opinion would change a lil bit but still its the same idea). I've poured gallons of Blood, sweat, and tears into that truck over the years and if someone tries to steal it they're gonna do the same.

I have to agree that lethal force would be a great way to deterr these punks from stealing. Most kids these days have no idea of what it means to pay for thier actions. mom and dad just grounded them to thier room (where they have video games, phone, and music)what a punishment. If they knew what might be instore for them if they try to steal or hurt some one they may not even try it!!!!!!
