Just picked up a excursion with the 7.3....its really nice..so far so good...but what have you guys done to make it better...chip..tires ,rims,exhaust.K&N..what about a steering stabilizer???? Thanks for your help.....
DP Tuner or TS Performance for chip, rims/tires: depends on individual taste & purpose, exhaust: 4" MBRP or Magnaflow, intake: either Ford AIS or AFE Pro Guard 7 (K&N useless for a diesel), no need for a steering stabilizer unless using over 40" tires... check my sig and others here for what they have done to their rigs.
Exhaust, air intake and a programmer are the first 3 I would do........ you'll notice a big different in just those 3.......... then you can move on the "cooler" and more expensive upgrades...... injection....etc......
I have complete 4" magna flow, stage one AFE intake and bullydog programmer set to +75 HP......... but that's just me.....
Those are probably the main ones you would be interested in, I also have made a removable box that allows me to turn my EX into an RV. With the spare tire out I can fit a California Queen in the back with plenty of storage, electricity (1,200W) and cooking power.
