Quick AC question

Guys and Gals,

Where is the low presure AC service port located on a 1999 Ford F150 extended cab with a 4.6 engine?

I have looked and looked and consulted Chiltons and I just can't find it.

Quick check of my 99 looks like it is on the side of the accumulator/dryer tank, adjacent to where the larger hose enters the tank. There is a service cap there that looks to be about the right size for the low pressure port, but I did not take the cap off to verify.

High Side

Thanks for the reply, but assuming you are talking about the port that sits just in front and to the side of the battery, that is the High Preasure side.

the accumulator tank that sets on the passenger side at the fire wall--- look under neaith it.

Thank you, I found it.

Thanks, after re-reading your reply I got back in there and found the service port. It is indeed right off the tank.

I removed the plastic housing cover than hangs on the firewall, removed the two small bolts that hold the front of the cable mounts (not the back ones that hold the entire unit) and I could access the service port with ease.

I really appreciate the response.
