I've searched around and haven't been able to find out how much the new 2008 super duty's cost. I'm looking to put an order in for one, but I want to know how much their going for. I'm looking into a F-250 or F-350 4x4 super crew Lariat, single rear wheel, 6.4L twin turbo Diesel, of course! Anyone got prices??
I do but I cant say its worth anything. It was a guess from a friend who works at a dealership. He suspected the new top end - diesel, lariat, etc, was going to be in the low 60's. All I have to say is, ouch.
If those trucks are going to be in the 60k range it wont last long. because the dodge are alredy 10k cheaper. besides who will spend 60k on a work truck? My grandpa works for one of the biggest ford dealer ships in California. As soon as he tells me an estimate i will post it.

Several years ago, the Dodges were about 10k cheaper. But that's not the case today. I just bought my SD two months ago. Although I had looked at and drueled over the SD for the last five years, they were still out of my budget. I figured that if I could save 5 to 10 grand on a Dodge, then I may just have to do that. But, when I went price shopping, I found the Dodges have raised their prices over the last several years.
I just visited the Dodge site and built a 2500 with the same options I have on my SD. My SD stickered at $47,500. The Dodge I built had a sticker of $47,330. Now, the Dodge did have a few options that were "free" with the Laramie package, that I don't have on my Lariate package, such as a security system, power rear window, remote start, and cd changer. But, that is only about $1200 worth of free upgrades.
I figure there will be some prices increase on the new SD's, because others have pointed out that Chevy is raising their HD prices by about $2500. Ford and Dodge will probably follow suit. But, I would like to think Ford is smart enough to know that if they jack the prices up an additional 10-13k, then they will lose people over to Dodge and Chevy. Sure, there are loyal Ford truck owners, but those loyal owners also have budgets. As you said, who's gonna spend 60k on a work truck?
Truck trend this month said the fully equiped Lariet with DVD, SAT navigation and fully loaded for the f-450 would be about 55,000. My local Ford dealer does not have prices yet. He told me tho that the base XL 450 would be about 38,000. Remeber now...thats a Crew cab only with a diesel as standard. He told me the F-450 comes standard with the new diesel. There was an 07 F-350 CC Lariat on the lot when I was there. Its price was 52,900. It has the WHOLE ORDER SHEET CHECKED. From sun roof to Crome package.
If you price the three brand out with exactly ( as you can) options. They are all about the same price. It depends on the current rebates and how you local dealer wants to deal.
Also I have been told that because of the Soot collector on the new diesels along with other EPA changes the diesel prices are going up quite a bit. AGAIN he didnt have an exact amont but thought I might be as much as 2 grand more for a 08 diesel. But that price increas is accrose the board with GM, Ford, and Dodge.
