I have a 77 F250 Custom. The dash lights have not worked for some time. Yesterday one side came on for a minute,But when it went off it it started getting dimer till it was gone.I checked the amp gauge with my small flash light and it was not moveing, staying study.
The other thing it does is the temp gauge will read hot when it's not and the oil gauge will be maxed out on high at the same time.
sure could use some help here.
Thanks. DON
The best thing you can do is take the dash cluster completely out, and take everything apart and clean it. Take a pencil eraser and shine up all the connections.
If the guages move up and down together at the same time, you may want to install a new guage regulator while you have the cluster apart. It's the small metal box in the cluster.
