GM head honchos repeated yesterday their aim this Fall is to offer what ever it takes to maintain market leadership in the coveted full size pickup truck arena. A real Texas style "shoot out" is forthcoming in the full size pickup arena with the introduction of the new GM 900 line. Best bet is HIGHER cash incentives will surface in the not-to-distant future as a result.

Ford has had the best selling full size truck for the last 28 years in a row! What do you mean GM is going to do what it takes to maintain market leadership?
I don't give a ***** whose got the corner on the truck market...it's time for me to upgrade to a diesel F250 and if that means huge $$$ back, I'm game!

Where in the world did you get your information from ? I am by no means trying to start an arguement here either. But......., the last time that I checked, Ford has been the #1 selling vehicle for most of my life. Where do people come up with this stuff ?
According to GM market leadership occurs when more trucks are sold than its competitors. GM is using both the Sierra/Silverado line for comparisons. If you have qualms with this statement then take it up with GM management NOT me. This was the press release from GM verbatim. I posted this not to start a verbal fight but to inject some optimism for HIGHER cash incentives due to this market war in the full size pickup arena.
